The amazing location of the hotel Ailwaldhof, surrounded by ca. 12ha of own land and forest, completely apart from traffic and rush, we owe to our ancestor "Jakob-Friedrich".

He rescued the king's son "Prinz-Eugen" during the campaing against the russians under the leadership of Napoleon under a undescribable scenery. After several years in siberian imprisonment and after the third successful escape attempt, he reached Stuttgart after a five years long walk, to receive the promised reward in the castle. Prinz-Eugen wanted to him to stay at the court but Jakob-Friedrich wanted to go home. The prince appointed him as "Königlichen Waldschütz und Jäger über die Forstregion Ailwald", where he and his wife Anne-Marie owned  agricultural and silvicultural land.

After the Netherlands rised to a maritime power they couldn't buy wood from the the scandinavian countries anymore, they bought their wood in the black forest. This boom moved the descendants of Jakob-Friedrich to found wood transporting companies. During this time the first guests arrived from the "Ruhrgebit" to the Murgtal. As our current senior boss, Hans-Walter Haist, had an accident during the unloading of wood, the adjustment to a complete health spa business was easy.

With the participation of the son Bernnhard Haist, as a well-travelled man with his wife Dorothea, born Baumgärtner, from the same-named vineyard in Hohenhaslach, the transformation  to "Parkhotel & Spa" could be pushed forward steadily.
